Read fault data in context
The fault code and freeze-frame show the conditions in which a deviation was detected. Distance driven, engine temperature and recent regenerations add context; a code alone does not prove that the filter is defective.

Check differential-pressure plausibility
The sensor, hoses and readings are assessed together. Pressure values without matching engine speed and load cannot be compared meaningfully, so measurement plausibility comes first.
Review regeneration conditions
Temperature readings, inhibition reasons and relevant engine faults may explain why regeneration does not occur. Driving profile and an abnormal oil level are also considered.
Choose the next step from the findings
Findings determine whether further diagnosis, suitable regeneration, cleaning, repair or replacement is needed. Scope and work location are agreed before implementation.
