Shift fault or calibration request?
Describe when a shift is problematic: cold or warm, when pulling away, under load or on overrun. A comfort request is assessed differently from slip, judder or a stored transmission fault.
Match shift behaviour, torque requests and TCU limits to the vehicle, engine calibration and transmission condition.
Describe when a shift is problematic: cold or warm, when pulling away, under load or on overrun. A comfort request is assessed differently from slip, judder or a stored transmission fault.
Transmission type, TCU version, maintenance, oil temperature and available adaptation values are reviewed. Raising pressure or torque limits is not presented as a repair for mechanical wear or hydraulic faults.
A suitable TCU calibration considers engine torque requests, shift points and vehicle-specific protection functions. Different transmissions do not require identical changes after engine calibration.
Driving profile, towing and existing engine software determine the appropriate scope. The aim is consistent torque handover and shift behaviour suited to the vehicle; harsh shifts alone are not evidence of quality.
Access method, work location and scope are agreed beforehand. Fault memory and shift behaviour are checked afterwards; further checks through AVM in Ibbenbüren can be arranged if required.
Local advice, vehicle assessment, diagnostics and suitable software work. We check the options for your vehicle. Dyno testing, development and extensive workshop work through AVM in Ibbenbüren. We agree on the scope and location before your appointment.
